1Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan is ranked fourth in Bollywood in terms of earning money after Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan. The name of his father is Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who is former captain of Indian Cricket Team. In addition, his father hailed from the respected royal family of Pataudis and renowned film actress, Sharmila Tagore. Saif Ali Khan was born on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi Mansoor Ali Khan remained Nawab of Pataudi from the year 1952–71. After his death, a pagri ceremony was held in the village of Pataudi, Haryana, in order to crown Saif as the tenth Nawab of Pataudi.

After his graduation from abroad, Khan returned to India and started working in the advertising industry in New Delhi. He had two months of experience of working for the advertising industry when he first time modelled in a television commercial for Gwalior  Suiting, honouring the request of his friend. Afterwards, he agreed to work on a project directed by Anand Mahindroo, however, the project could not be materialized. With the aim of joining Hindi films, Saif shifted to Mumbai. He made his entry to the film industry by debuting in Yash Chopra’s film ‘Parampara’ in 1993. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a flop film. Aamir Khan also acted in this movie. His romantic roles in movies like ‘Yeh Dillagi’ (1995), ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ (1994) earmarked his success. The success of these two films paved the way for numerous other movies. In next a few years, based on his talent, Saif starred in many films including ‘Bambai Ka Babu’ (1996), ‘Tu Chor Main Sipahi’ (1996), ‘Hamesha’ (1997), ‘Udaan’ (1997), ‘Keemat’ (1998) ‘Humse Badhkar Kaun’ (1998), ‘Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan’ (1999), ‘Kachche Dhaage’ (1999), ‘Aarzoo’ (1999) and ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999).

Till the 1990s, Khan had a handsome number of movies to his name, but he was unable to get a role that could have made him a prominent star of the film industry as per his expectation. However, the commencement of the new centaury turned out to be a hallmark for his life. He exhibited the best performance of his career in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001) directed by Farhan Akhtar. The movie turned out to be a big success and proved to be a major turning point in the career of the actor. Basing on this performance, he was able to win the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role. In fact, the movie, Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001), saved his career from sinking. The booming success of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001) led Saif to appear in quite a few hit films; ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003), ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ (2004), ‘Hum Tum’ (2005), ‘Parineeta’ (2005), ‘Omkara’ (2006), ‘Love Aaj Kal’ (2009), ‘Cocktail’ (2012) etc. Currently, he is anxiously waiting for the release of his films ‘Chef’ and ‘Bazaar’.

TRIVIA: The actor is prevalently perceived as the ‘Chote Nawab of Pataudi’. On the other hand, the Government of India has obliterated the official presence of princely titles.

  1. Don’t see their movies. They will stand in the Q. All these Films Hail the Haves and NOTS. It is going to be Raj of Have nots. Shun these movies. gkmurthy

  2. Long Long ago I saw RAJKUR the hero was pridviraj kapur’s son. 2nd. Then I came to know these Producers are from RAJ community. From then onwards no movies. Don’t see these idiotic movies. Give that amount to needy people.

  3. Here in India a bunch of Fools are living. Not because we are fools. By seeing such a stupid films we are Fools. These Brahimins make us Fools by saying that the Sun is revolving around Earth. Foolishly we believe these fellows. They say those Stars which are at an unimaginable distance are having on us. We foolishly believe them and give Dakshina Do you know in TIRUMALA TEMPLE the Archakas count how many BRESTS they have squeezed. After the duty they proudly say about their Squeezing. Why You go to these Temples? Do you Have any idea about their NIGHT ACTIVITIES.? You will be aghast if you know. Bloody rascals are there in the temples.

  4. The art of slavery is Royal – not to say there were no Good and Heroic Kings or Queens but this system has deteriorated down the ages and it has not progressed – a Monarch thinks they have the right over everything which has given birth to democracy – since for 5 years the elected ravish the kingdom loot murder kill etc and after that they just loose power and are not accountable till date for any wrong doings which is disgusting also – accountability has to come in democracy only then it is a good system

  5. How come that Indira Gandhi herself was daughter & like earlier kings/queens/nawabs etc. dynastically inherited political legacies of her father & grand father but later in her own right became Congress Leader & legislator & PM etc. but these Congress oldies & chamchas & sycophants made recalcitrant Rajeev Gandhi as PM as if it was his birth-right(like in King’s time) making mockery of democracy. Later his wife Sonia & now her son Rahul Pappu. Actually all these are simply puppets, being pedalled as dynastic inheritors of Congress party by the highly intelligent & shrewd persons like Kapil sibbal, chidambaram even Shashi taroor & co. just for their personal benefits so that any blame can be easily put on these puppets & they can scot free while minting illegal money without any check by making tax & other laws to suit their own ends. Very strange it was Indira Gandhi who had abolished dynastic rule of maharajahs/nawabs, but her family members put up a different garb and continuing the old abolished dynastic system, albeit in the garb of democracy and all these intelligent intellectuals are bashlessly supporting & propping up them for their own personal vested interests. Do not they have any shame or idea of making India great like Chinese?
