Asha is a veteran actress who first appeared in the movie Aasmaan as a child artist in the year 1952. Only two years later, her talent was noticed by director Bimal Roy when she performed at a stage event after which she was offered the film Baap Beti.

She has acted in about 90 films and has been casted opposite some of the biggest names in the industry such as Dev Anand, Shammi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, and Sunil Dutt. Her movies Dil Deke Dekho, Mere Sanam, Teesri Manzil, Pyar Ka Mausam, and Kati Patang earned her tremendous amount of fame and success. Later, this influential woman turned to the 70mm-screen as a producer.

Asha has always remained close-mouthed about her personal life. However, she was speculated to have been dating her director Nasir Hussain. When asked why she never married, she said that men probably feel intimidated by her to ask her hand in marriage.

  1. i think, amisha patel neha duphia, and tabbu still having time to marry so it is early to consider them as devas never married .

  2. I can’t understand why the title says Indian divas. More appropriate would be Bollywood actresses/divas. And what do you mean by she (Neha Dhupia) ‘first seen’ in Euphoria video & ‘then appeared’ in movie Minnaram ? She made her debut in Minnaram as a child artist way before she faced cameras for Euphoria project.

  3. The word “never married” is correct because men (to whom they dated) only played with them or have passed their time. Now at this age, these “Indian divas” have lost / ruined the best part of their life, nobody will be willing to marry except passing time with them. Everyone knows that showbiz is full of glamours and most actresses give lot of sacrifices only to become famous and gain money. Doing marriage is not particularly included in their aims and objectives.

    • Dear Mumtaz
Please do not be so gender biased. There are women also, who play with men and forget about the time elapsed of their lives. Time does not stop for anyone. That is how we all age – eventful or eventless. magar apane apane mukaam par, kabhi ham nahin kabhi tum nahin.

  4. The very crux of your writing whilst sounding agreeable at first, did not work well with me after some time. Somewhere within the paragraphs you managed to make me a believer but just for a short while. I still have a problem with your leaps in assumptions and one would do nicely to help fill in those gaps. If you can accomplish that, I could definitely end up being fascinated.

  5. These actress don’t need such things because when you get free of cost entertainment then why you will spend on Dame things.
Moreover when commen person get married for partners to share good time for longer periods but contrast to these acter n actress they want partners change shorts period so no need marriage.
