10RAEES (2017)

Starring the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Raees’ was the first mega release of the year 2017. The film hit screens on 25th of January and emerged victorious within no time. Fans went crazy after seeing his favorite superstar in a never-seen-before avatar. But before the audience watched the picture in theaters, they knew it was going to be a sure shot hit at the box office. Reason? Reason was that the moment makers unveiled the first look poster of the movie featuring SRK, it grabbed the attention of the audience like never before. The first look poster garnered unprecedented response from the audience and inflamed social media. Everyone was talking about how SRK had changed his look to perfect his character of a gangster in the movie. In ‘Raees’, the megastar was seen sporting a rugged look, complete with the perfectly trimmed dark designer stubble, kohl eyes and cool shades.

Apart from wearing shades and sporting a stubbly chin, Khan was also seen wearing a charm locket in a yellow gold chain. While launching the trailer of the movie at the prestigious Yash Raj Films studio, the actor revealed that the memorable piece he wore in the film has been his favorite for many years as it carries his parents’ Meer Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima’s photographs in it. SRK said that he brought out the personalized jewellery from his collection so that he could use it in the film to enhance his look. And, as SRK had expected, the fans liked his style and confident in the movie and made it a blockbuster. Directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment, the film also had Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.

TRIVIA: When Rahul Dholakia wrote the script, he wanted Irrfan Khan in the lead role. When he got a big producer, they decided on Shahrukh Khan.
